Walkthrough

Head for Pokemon League!

• Go through the cave. First you are on 1F. Proceed to 2F, then go through 1F again to appear in B1F. Climb up to 1F and proceed until you get out of the cave to appear in the Pokemon League.
• To explore Victory Road, you need such HM moves as Surf, Strength, Rock Smash, and Rock Climb.
• There are some boulder puzzles. To solve the puzzles, you must push the boulders by HM04 Strength, and might also have to use HM06 Rock Smash.
• There are some places that can only be accessed by using the Bicycle. You must jump off the small slopes to jump over the rocks blocking the path. Change your Bicycle into the 4th gear and run long enough to gain enough speed, then run at a slope to jump off. If you don't have enough runway, just go right and left repeatedly until your Bicycle is fast enough.

Take Marley out of Victory Road!

• Visit Victory Road after you beat the game. Now you can pass through the entrance before which a guy used to stand blocking the path. This entrance leads to another part of Victory Road.
• You meet a girl named Marley, who seems to be lost in Victory Road. Marley wants to go to Route 224. You must take Marley to the northeast of the cave to fulfill her demand.
  While you stay with Marley, she heals your Pokemon after every battle. Marley takes part in Double Battles in which she uses Arcanine when wild Pokemon appear or two trainers simultaneously challenge you to a battle.
  Marley's Arcanine knows Helping Hands, Fire Fang, Agility and Extremespeed. Arcanine tends to use Helping Hands on the first turn, which turns out to be very helpful at times.
• After parting with Marley, continue to proceed to Route 224.
